It's Time to Sign Up for the 4th Annual Zach Wall Blood Drive

I cannot believe this is the 4th time we are doing this. But we are. And this is a fast, easy way to give back and help others fighting cancer. If you are in the Boston area, please take the time to join us for a few moments to honor Zach and give blood. If you don’t live close by, please consider finding a location nearby to give blood.

When: Monday, April 14th, 9 am to 3:30 pm

Bonus: Year after year, Jenn’s brownies get rave reviews, but you have to show up to get one!

While most of you know this, it’s always good to be reminded that blood is critical for cancer patients as they usually need blood transfusions after chemotherapy. According to the Red Cross, cancer patients use nearly 1/4 of the blood supply – more than patients fighting any other disease. I honestly cannot count how many times Zach got blood or platelets, but it was a lot.

And while cancer patients are far and away the primary consumer of blood donations, you may not have known that someone needs a blood donation every 2 seconds in the United States, and that one donation of blood can be used to save more than 1 life.

And special thanks to the wonderful folks at Lovelane for hosting and making this possible once again. Zach rode horses at Lovelane when he was sick and what they do for kids with all sorts of medical and special needs is just amazing. We are extremely grateful to them for being part of Zach and our journey, when he was sick and in honoring him year after year.
